Folk Tale is a sandbox fantasy village builder RPG game in which you lead a ragtag band of peasants in growing a small settlement into a thriving market town, while dastardly minions plot your downfall. Sound the rallying call and head out into the wilds to explore and fight back the tide of evil in a game of endless possibilities.

Rule with tyranny and oppression, or liberalism and justice. Play as a merciless expansionist hell-bent on destruction, or as a gold-hoarding mercantilist who'll sell their own grandmother. With random events and dynamic story, in Folk Tale you never know how the story will unfold.

Folk Tale is available on Windows and OSX. A Linux version is planned.

Early Access provides immediate access to the alpha version of Folk Tale at a special discount price. By purchasing Folk Tale while it is in development, you will be contributing towards expanding the development team ( currently 8 full-time developers ), and joining an active community who's feedback helps shape and improve the game.

Early Access is not for everyone. There can be delays between patches, and it's very common for there to be lots of bugs and missing content. Modern games take a long time to make, and if you are seeking a finished highly polished game, or you are impatient, then it is recommended you wait for the final release.
